Girls back at gymnastics

As many of you know since we were driving down to pick up Megan every weekend, we decided to enroll Mali and Jaida as well a few years ago. Since we are being denied family time with Megan, there hasn't  really been the need to drive the two hours down the Helendale. 
Just recently our girls have signed up to a local gymnastics gym. 
As you can imagine, they are very excited. Sophie has even started although at a different tim than her sisters.

We were presented with a proclamation by Mayor:
Parental Alienation Awareness Day

Joe and Tammy Barrow were presented a Proclamation from Mayor DeRosa of Cathedral City
 March 27, 2013 
ON March 27, Tammy and I were presented with a Proclamation from Mayor DeRosa declaring April 25 Parental Alienation Awareness Day. (See Proclamation)
It is our first of many to come. Our immediate goal is to have all the cities in the Coachella Valley to acknowledge this horrific form of child abuse. 
It was bittersweet, because at the same time that we received this proclamation, our daughter is going through some hard times. She is already suffering, not only the loss of a caring and loving father, but also the loss of a loving step-mom and 3 little sisters. 
While we were there we made some connections with others who are equally concerned with bringing awareness to any form of abuse. As we left we were followed out and stopped by someone from the Desert Sun who has also experienced alienation. 
The reporter from the sun is interested in talking to us about our story. 

School

Malia had some friends over for a team effort on a school science project.  This turned into a day long event and then a slumber party, as these collaborations sometimes do. 
The results were great, their seismograph turned out to be not only functional but very colorful. 

Home: Dentist visit...

Sophie went in for her final visit to get some sugar bugs out. She was, as usual, such a big girl. It helps that her dentist and their staff are wonderful. (She goes to Dr. Gary Okamoto in Palm Desert) She made her daddy so proud. I took her to Dollar tree and ran into another parent who had been at the dentist at the same time. She was also treating them to a Dollar Tree visit for being such good patients.
